What happens in physical therapy?

Your first appointment includes a comprehensive examination, tailored specific to your needs. This can include a full body movement screen, postural assessment, specifics tests of the abdomen, low back, and hips, as well as examination of your pelvic floor. Pelvic floor muscle examination can be performed externally or internally via the vaginal or rectal canals, based on the needs of the patient.
